No great voyage can be a success without a steadfast companion. Enter Brian Lippincott. He is an amateur astronomer, engineer extraordinaire, inventor, geek, husband (not mine), and my co-pilot on this crazy voyage.
He packs a mean punch with his 10" Meade Lightbridge, 70mm Pronto, and 9x63 Orion binoculars. Presently he's in the middle of a creating a homegrown custom designed 12.5" dob. When not on the field and under the stars you can find Brian out for a cruise on his fully electric Zero motorcycle or working on a multitude of projects in his machine shop. An active guy, he is a devout camper with Camp Gladiator and an equally avid kayak paddler; having spent time in both the warm waves of the Gulf of Mexico and the frigid waters of Alaska.
We met six years ago and discovered our common interests in all things astronomy and science. Together we have designed, engineered and built many astronomical devices and inventions; some of which you might see on this site. 2019 will mark our fifth trip together to the great Texas Star Party in Fort Davis and we will be traveling to Florida and the Bahamas this summer to attend AstroCon and to observe the southern end of the milky way in the constellation Sagittarius.
